About Somali Environmental Development Organization (SEDO)
The Somali Environmental Development Organization (SEDO) is a national, non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to environmental protection, sustainable development, and community resilience across Somalia. SEDO works through an integrated, rights-based, and community-driven approach to address environmental degradation, climate vulnerabilities, food insecurity, and humanitarian challenges.
We collaborate closely with government ministries, UN agencies, civil society actors, private sector partners, and local communities to advance development solutions aligned with global frameworks such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the Paris Climate Agreement.
